Check every piece of evidence you already have.

Don't worry about whether it's “good enough” — if you have it, check it. Items are weighted by how much they typically move the needle in a truck accident case.

Legal information, not advice.  This tool gives you a benchmark — not a case valuation. Every case turns on facts a checklist can't see, and your conversations here don't create an attorney-client relationship.

How this tool works

A weighted checklist, not a magic 8-ball.

Caseworth's intake team reviewed how firms across our network actually triage incoming matters. Three signals showed up consistently: which items you have, how clear fault is, and how recent the incident is. We turned that into a deterministic score — no AI, no vague answers — so you get a reliable baseline before you talk to anyone.

Evidence guides

What firms look for, case type by case type.

Different cases hinge on different evidence. A great surveillance video is everything in a slip-and-fall and only context in a medical-malpractice claim. Pick a case type to load it into the tool above:

Auto accident / motor vehicle

16 weighted items

Crashes between passenger vehicles — the most common personal-injury matter in the U.S.

Truck accident

Crashes involving commercial trucks — federal rules and corporate defendants raise the stakes.

Frequently asked

Questions people ask, before they bridge.

Is the Evidence Checker actually free?

Yes. There's nothing to sign up for, no credit card, no email required to use it. Caseworth's business is bridging people to firms when they're ready — the checker is a free tool we built because the question "is my evidence good enough?" comes up in nearly every intake conversation we have.

How is the score calculated?

Each piece of evidence is weighted 1–5 based on how much it typically moves the needle for your specific case type. The base score is the sum of weights you have, divided by the maximum possible. Three qualifiers — injury severity, fault clarity, and time since incident — apply small multipliers. The result is bucketed into Comprehensive, Substantial, Developing, or Not Started. It is deterministic: the same inputs always produce the same score.

Does a high score mean my case is worth a lot of money?

No. The score reflects how complete your evidence stack is — not the value of your damages. Two people with identical evidence stacks can have wildly different case values depending on injury severity, jurisdiction, and the defendant's coverage limits. For a value range, use our Lexstimate tool or speak with a firm directly.

What if I don't have most of the items checked?

Don't write off the case. Many evidence items can still be requested or reconstructed weeks or months after an incident — police reports, medical records, surveillance video, and witness statements among them. The checker's gap analysis tells you what's worth pursuing first.

Will Caseworth share my answers with anyone?

Nothing you check on this page is sent to our servers. The score is calculated entirely in your browser. If you choose to bridge to a firm, we ask only for the information needed to make that connection — and only then.

Why isn't my state listed as a question?

Caseworth is a national platform rolling out state by state. The evidence that matters most is largely consistent across jurisdictions; statutes of limitation and a few procedural rules vary. When you bridge to a firm, jurisdictional fit is the first thing we check.

Is this legal advice?

No. This is legal information, not legal advice. Using this tool does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Caseworth or any firm. For advice on your specific situation, talk to a licensed attorney in your state.

Can a firm see my checklist?

Only if you choose to share it. The checker runs locally; no firm sees your inputs unless you bridge to one and explicitly send your stack along.
