Troubleshooting & common messages

Plain-language explanations for the messages you might see, and what to do about each one.

"Insufficient credits" or a payment-required prompt

What it means: the action you're trying to run costs more credits than your current balance.

What to do: top up from the prompt that appears — $9.99 for 25,000 credits, or $29.99 for 100,000 credits. Every new account also starts with 10,000 free credits, so if you're seeing this on your very first action, double-check you're signed in to the account you created.

Signed out, or an authentication error

What it means: your session expired, or your sign-in token is no longer valid. This can happen after a long period of inactivity or if you signed in on another device.

What to do: refresh the page and sign in again. If that doesn't resolve it, sign out fully, clear your browser cache for the site, and sign back in. Your saved cases and credit balance aren't affected by a session expiring — they're tied to your account, not your browser session.

"Your packet is being prepared" or a pending value estimate

What it means: for injury matters, the value portion of your report sometimes can't be finalized right away — it completes once your treatment reaches maximum medical improvement (MMI). This isn't an error; the rest of your packet (summary, legal framework, evidence ledger, filing deadlines) is available in the meantime.

What to do: nothing is required. As your treatment progresses, add the new details and click "Update report" to regenerate — that's free.

"This state isn't currently supported" for chat or reports

What it means: consumer chat and full case reports aren't currently offered in California, New York, Missouri, New Jersey, Tennessee, or Washington, D.C., for compliance reasons.

What to do: the Statute of Limitations checker is still available to you as a public reference tool. For everything else, consult a licensed attorney in your state directly.

A run failed, or nothing appeared

What it means: occasionally a run can fail to complete — a network hiccup, a temporary service issue, or a page that didn't finish loading.

What to do: refresh the page and try again. A run that fails before completing is not charged again on the same case — you won't be double-billed for retrying. If the problem keeps happening, contact support.

Finding your credit balance

Your current balance is always visible in the credit badge in the app header, and in more detail on your dashboard alongside your transaction history.

Returning to a saved case

Every analysis thread and Case Builder case saves automatically. From your dashboard, look for it in your recent cases or threads list — your conversation, captured facts, and any generated report are all preserved.

Browser support

Caseworth works best in a recent version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. If something looks broken or won't load, try a different browser or an updated version before assuming it's a Caseworth issue.
